Things Happen

My post on want, very strongly spoke about the “WANT” being the driver, the force of our lives. A friend of mine told me that the book “The Alchemist” speaks something in relation to the want. It says that if you desire something truly from your heart, something that you really WANT, and then there are energies that you leave out into the world. These energies connect to the cosmic and it’s the power of the Cosmic that makes things happen, things possible. It’s based on some concept of the flow of energy in the universe. If you really want something, it happens.

Things happen… this is something else that a lot of us know of somewhere deep inside us. Then there is the madness, the tension, the adrenalin rush and so on, on all crucial times of our life. We run frantically around to do things, get things done, and then BOOM… something goes wrong. This brings me to the second principle a friend told me about – The Murphy’s Law – “What has to go wrong will go wrong”.

And these two things justify what we call Destiny. Yes, what has to will happen – is how we describe destiny.

So do we suddenly feel helpless and at the mercy of some unknown energy. No, and that’s what we are all about. We are all about the life that we live, the decisions we take, the choices we make. It’s the belief that we have in ourselves more than anything else that keeps us on the move, on a constant road – the journey as Life is popularly known as.

Try this, sit down and think what you most truly want and want it forever, it will come to you.

I read the Alchemist. It sucks big time. Really pissing off, that lil kid with stones in his hand. Yea, Murphy lives on though.

I want a few things but it's scary to think of whether or not it'll happpen. I'm worried about when I can see it happen.

Working on it.

there's something (not a thing really) that i want myself, will let u know if it comes to me only by sitting and REALLY wanting it, i think it needs more than that..and that extra bit is called luck, fate, destiny...

alchemist...one of my fav books, it talks about the world conspirin to help u succeed when u follow ur dreams. Dreams r different from wot we want. I want to be rich, successful, so on so forth....but i dream to be a Merchant Banker, a musician, a journalist...The world doesnt help u when u follow ur wants....just when u follow ur dreams cuz most of us dont have the courage to take the path less trodden. We invoke Murphy when we loose out n say things just dont happen rite. Murphy is classic looser talk! Murphy is why we dont follow our dreams... So Things dont happen...wants dont come true...dreams do, n for dat u need to follow them inpite of failures

i m agree with abhijeet, dreams come true not wants, we want so many things in life n wants keep getting bigger n bigger in terms of numbers, but dreams are few.
well The Alchemist is d best book i ve read till 2day,n i like d massege of the book i love ,it says "wen v want something from our heart then entire universe conspires us 2 get that thing, god opens new paths for us 2 get to our dreams n we start walking on that path, feeling lucky n happy, everything seems possible and
then comes a time wen we r tested 2 d limits n we tend 2 broke up n we give up, but thats d time wen we shouldnt give up, n bet each n everything for our dreams, bcoz on that time our dream is just 1 step away from us",
in our life "everyhing depends upon how long we dont give up" n believe me thats true bcoz ive been through with all this
