ARE YOU AN EXTREMIST???!!!
Living life at extremes, often viewed by people with raised eyebrows. So lets try and see what is this entire thing about EXTREMISM. Its all about black or white - there are no grey areas.
You either have it or you dont have it. You either do it or you dont touch it at all. You are either not bothered or you are extremely concerned. The best part is - you are SURE of what you do and you BELIEVE 100% in it. You dont regret what you do and would do things irrespective of the consequences - that again is subject to what it means to you.
I have been in and out of troubles owing to the extremes that I work on. Innumerable warnings, cautions and suggestions - but again they dont really matter if I am sure of what I am doing and believe it to be true. Yeah, very less consideration is given to what people think. Well, I must admit, at times I do like to believe that im not an extremist - but doesnt work for long for me.
What bothers an extremist the most??? Nothing I would say... they are out there to get it. How is not something that concern them as long as it is right. There is no mid way.
I wont try and argue or say that its good or bad being an extremist, but yes its not the generally acceptable norm of the society. Its beyond them - beyond the conformist thoughts and actions. Its a high spirited state of mind, full of vigour to do things and do them well.
So how do you deal with an extremist??? Do you like them??? Do you know them??? Do you understand them??? Do you think you are one of them???

Considering oneself to be extreme, confirms the inside the box thinking... let me explain...
What is extreme reaction? amongst a spectrum of possible reactions, when one chooses the least possible at either of the ends... its called an extreme reaction... am i right?
but hey... who defines the spectrum? the majority is it? the majority who are not extremists? is it?
if thats the case... u r not an extremist... but jst different others...

extremism happens in personal habits,ur likes and dislikes essentially what u do/want to do..but does extremism work in the realm of emotions?..feelings?ur thoughts?is it always the"either this or that"..the"black or white as u say"? i personally think its always shades of gray..where we swing between one extreme and another..nice post..nice style..will keep and eye on your blog!
to all the comments, thanks a lot first of all. well, im not here to propogate extremism, its a state of mind, the intensity of extremism that makes one an extremist. talking about what extremes can ur emotions go to, i would say any. if u feel very strongly about it and you kno that u r right. the kind of extremists i have known, i have known them to be rational minds and rational in their own little way, u might not be convinced with their point of view, but trust me, the kind of passion they put it forth to you, you wouldnt just be able to argue. you will feel a resistance and disagreement but would be at lack of words to argue. its not about choosing the least possible alternative, because it is the least possible, but it works the other way round. the alternative they choose happen to be the least preferred one and once again its so because of the nature of their choice, and the fact that perhaps not many could choose wat they chose.
and the spectrum, is defined by the extremist. the fact that they r an extremist shows hos less they care about wat the society defines. and hence wat they do, goes on to be an extremist choice, which is perfectly normal for thm. its the society that calls it extremism. i say so, cos wen i make choices they are very normal and straight for me, but then i get adviced on how EXTREMIST they are.
about the grey areas, trust me abhinav, i just cant get them and people who do amaze me and to be honest, i at times too hope to be like them. but doesnt work i guess.
